My name is Vera (hence the name of my boutique).

I am the Exclusive Designer and Creator of the Boutique Ensembles and Lifelike Reborn Babies of the VictorianERA Doll Couture.

First, I am a Wife and Mother. I am the mother of two children that

are grown and both now in college. I am very lucky to have the best

husband in the world, who lets me stay home and use all my time, passion

and skills to do what I like the most - create unique heirloom quality

outfits for your dolls and give life to a miracle reborn babies. In addition

to my wonderful family, I have a few precious reborn babies and a

beautiful little girl, Tula, from the Himstedt collection to keep me busy

and inspired.

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved playing with dolls.

When I was 9 years of age, I started sewing clothes for my doll. When

I was older I began making clothes for myself and then for my children.

I have also designed and created ensembles for a ballet company,

theatrical productions and then creating wedding and evening gown

designs. My most treasured memories have been those from the

countless dance recitals and shows, in which a touch of love and

sewing skills have brought the performances to life.

A few years ago I discovered the wonderful world of “reborn babies”

and Himstedt dolls. These amazing babies and beautiful girls entered my

life and inspired me to care for them as for my new children. This new

passion, my knowledge of theatrical and historical costumes and

experience in couture clothing transpired into the beautiful

creations for dolls. I am happy to share my work with you.

All my designs are professionally finished with the serger, they are lined

when needed and great attention is paid to the smallest details.

I use many vintage and antique fabrics and lace, which makes my

outfits truly unique and one of a kind.

A year ago I decided to try the art form of Reborning Dolls. It quickly

became another addiction! I don’t sell my babies on eBay, only thru

custom orders. I use Genesis Heat Set Paints for their coloring,

premium mohair, and glass beads for weighting purposes.

All my babies are safe to travel internationally.
